Python tutorial: Opening a .txt File
1:00 – 2:00 pm MDT
The Python Tutorial Series returns on every other Thursday at 1 p.m. MDT beginning May 26 with the first of five “Your First” lessons. The “Opening a .txt File” tutorial will cover how to create your first Python script to open some simple data.
We will begin by following content on the Xdev tutorial site, which introduces Python to scientists who already have a good deal of programming experience, albeit with a different language. Our main audience is NCAR scientists, but anyone who has some experience working in the terminal and an understanding of basic coding structures who wants geoscience-applicable examples will find this helpful and rewarding.
