NSF NCAR @ SC24: Discover the HPC Empowering Today's Earth Systems Science
5:00 pm MST
by Shira Feldman
NSF NCAR and CISL have a slate of activities planned for SC24 in Atlanta at the Georgia World Conference Center, November 17 to 22, 2024. You can find us in Booth #931. We will feature presentations, opportunities to meet with CISL staff experts on a range of topics, and an in-booth reception.
SC24 Booth Schedule
All times below are in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Come join us in our booth Monday evening (11/18) during the opening gala from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. to get to know NSF NCAR, the ideal environment to study the Earth. Talk to our scientists, researchers, planners, and decision-makers, and learn what we have planned for the upcoming year.
On Tuesday (11/19) from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., we’ll hold the Collaborate & Connect Reception in our booth, offering drinks and snacks. Meet Thomas Hauser, the Director of CISL. Learn what CISL is, where it's going, and what we're doing to advance Earth systems science.
On Wednesday (11/20), for SC24 Family Day, we’ll have some snacks and drinks Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. for students and families. We'll feature robots, virtual reality headsets, engineering kits, and games on screen. Everyone is welcome!
In addition to these activities, we will also feature a series of presentations on activities at NSF NCAR and CISL, including our supercomputer, Derecho. We'll have raffles every day, and CISL staff will also be on hand throughout the exhibition.
