CISL has a slate of activities planned for AGU23 in San Francisco at the Moscone Convention Center, December 11–15, 2023. You can find us at the UCAR/NCAR booth (Booth #807), where CISL will feature two showcase sessions as well as present opportunities to meet CISL staff experts and project leads.

Booth Presentations
Tuesday (Dec. 12)
- Orhan Eroglu and Nihanth Cherukuru will showcase NCAR and CISL community software activities from 3:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday (Dec. 13)
- Douglas Schuster will showcase NCAR’s Research Data Commons Project from 12:00 p.m to 1:00 p.m.

- Jeff Anderson will virtually exhibit a poster: “A Quantile Conserving Ensemble Filtering Framework for Tracer Concentration and Source Estimation.”

- Scott Pearse will make an oral presentation called “Visualizing Megafires: How AI Can Be Used to Drive Wildfire Simulations with Better Predictive Skill.” Location/Time TBD.

- John Clyne will make an oral presentation: “IN21A-05—A Prototype of a Hybrid-Cloud Environment in Support of Earth System Science,” from 9:10 a.m. to 9:20 a.m., in the Moscone Center, Level 2, 2014–West.
- Ian Franda, a SCIparCS student, will present a poster: “ED21D-0762—Python Data Analysis and Visualization for Unstructured Grid Data,” from 8:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. in the Moscone Center, Exhibition Level, Poster Hall A-C–South.
- Douglas Schuster will conduct a tribute session for Jeff de La Beaujardière’s contributions to the informatics community, entitled “TH23D—Informatics and the AGU Community,” from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Moscone Center, Level 2, at 2014–West.
- Douglas Schuster will give a talk called “TH25C—Open Science Realities: How Open Is Open?” from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Moscone Center, Level 2, 2006–West.
